Bergerac and Ginestet

Le Relais is located on the outskirts of Bergerac, close to a small village called Ginestet. In Ginestet, you can find the nearest bakery (closed on Mondays) with delicious homemade breads and pastries.

Bergerac is located on both sides of the Dordogne river, connected by beautiful historic bridges. You may have heard of the tale of Cyrano de Bergerac: this local hero is honoured with a statue in the middle of the historic centre.

Here you can find lots of shops selling local delicacies like foie gras, cheese and wine, but of course also clothes and souvenirs, as well as restaurants and bars. You can take a boat trip down the Dordogne river from the harbour. Bergerac has a wide variety of supermarkets and a local farmer’s market around the church twice a week.
